World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Water is an essential building block of life. Water affects everything. When you conserve water, you conserve life.
According to the United Nations, over two billion people are living with the risk of reduced access to freshwater resources, and by 2050, at least one in four people is likely to live in a country affected by chronic or recurring shortages of fresh water.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s celebrate this day by learning more about water related issues and don’t let your water consumption run out of control.
